Getting Started

Welcome to Songview, the free, easy to use and feature rich presentation software system designed for use in church services.

Songview provides an easy to use and flexible platform for the preparation and display of

• Worship songs
• Bible texts
• Slideshows
• Powerpoint presentations
• Multimedia
• Youtube video and web pages

On start-up it loads the supplied database with a selection of public domain songs.

Find the song you need from the titles list or using the Search.

The Playlist is used to control the service presentation.

• Worship songs - Double click a song title or drag it to the Playlist or right-click on an item found in the search list
• Bible texts - Choose the Bible tab and find the scripture reference with the search. Click 'To Playlst' on the Bible tab
• Picture slide show - drag the folder with the pictures into the Playlist
• PowerPoint presentation - drag the PowerPoint file into the Playlist
• Multimedia - drag the video file into the Playlist
• YouTube video - Select the Internet tab, click the 'YouTube' button, find the video, click 'URL to Playlist' in the YouTube player section. If the video has been set to show only on YouTube, use the Download button to add it to the Playlist as a downloaded video file
• Web page - Select the Internet tab, find the page on the preview, click 'URL to Playlist'

You need to connect a projector or a second monitor to your computer to display the output to the congregation. Click the 'Show' button on the toolbar to start the display. Click on the preview panes to change slides. Click on the Playlist item to change the presentation.
