The dual display option is only active when you have more than one display adapter on your computer. One display output goes to the monitor, the other to the video projector. Desktop PCs don't usually have this unless you have installed a dual graphics card, such as a Matrox G400 or 550. On the other hand most modern laptops have dual monitor capability so as long as the video output port on the laptop is not just a clone of the laptop display it will work for you. You can check it out by going into the display settings on the laptop, if you can see two monitor icons, (boxes with 1 and 2 in them), you have a dual monitor capability. I expect 1 will be in a black box and 2 will be grey. If you attach a second monitor or a projector to the port on the rear of the laptop it will turn black indicating a monitor is available. You just need to check or select 'extend the desktop onto this monitor to make it work (otherwise it just clones the laptop screen. Songview will find the second monitor automatically on start up. |

Thanks for making this available for free. Please put a more detailed troubleshooting guide out on your website or add a troubleshooting section to your help file. We could not use the dual display because the box is grayed out, so until that is made available we may have to stick with using transparancies because we can't get the words on the projector while we see the actual application window on the desktop. If you have a solution for making the dual display checkbox available in the preferences please email me with a fix. Finally, please spell check your menu options and help screen. As a web designer myself those things can be pretty distracting. |

See above post on dual display. Spelling corrections have been done though the software uses UK spellings. |

Hi, I have just downloaded your excellent looking Songview. However, although I've set the display on my laptop to "Extend" (I'm using Windows 7), when I press the "Show" button the display still only comes up on the laptop screen. Please advise! Many thanks. |

See above post. The help manual included instructions for setting up dual display with all supported windows versions. |
