JICImported DOC and DOCX files content missing the accented characters
Greetings! Blessings from the Almighty God. Thanks so much for this tool! While importing some doc and docx files, all went, apparently, well, but the songs are missing the accented characters. For example, "Jesús", appears as "Jess", etc. Should I convert them to text instead? There are over 300 of these doc and docx files. Thanks for the help. José

Thanks. That is not the answer I was looking for. PowerPoint works, so I would suspect that doc and docx would use the same libraries that are used by ppt. I am going to convert them to rich text files (rtf), since this filetype works. I would suggest to fix this. It's probably something to do with Unicode vs ANSI or plain text. By the way, docx conversion displays a character rather than stripping the accented character. I would suggest to look into UTF8, Unicode, etc., file types. Anyway, don't mean to come back with a suggestion, but for those of us that are starting new, we just have Word and PPTs. Thanks for the wonderful software. God bless your ministry. José

The simplest thing to do would be to import them all into a single file and then use the Edit/Search and Replace dialog to make all the corrections at once.
